1. What do you think the statement ‘completely cleared him out’ means?

He used all his money on it or paying for it.

2. Why did Bryce give the elderly people loaves of bread for free?

Because the bread would have been stale the next day.

3. Do you think this is an act of kindness? Why/ why not?

Yes, because they did not have to pay for it.

4. Why did Bryce see it as his right to give away bread to the needy?

Because his buisness was big he could aford to give bread away.

5. We don’t see many people like Bryce these days. Using bullet points, list some of these special qualities Bryce had.
